Day 8: Pizza Day- Emily Routbort

Today was Pizza Day! We started our day off by making more dough in case we wanted more. We then had a long break to work on out other assignments. During this time we also prepared our fondant for tomorrows cakes! We used food die to color our fondant for designs and other various reasons. 2 hours later we proceeded to make our pizza. We started to role out our dough 3 at a time because we had a small grill. Then we punctured our pizza dough with a fork. On Wednesday each person requested 3 toppings to put on our pizza. We then took our dough to the grill and grilled it on one side. Then we took it off the grill and topped our pizzas (on the grilled side) with sauce cheese and toppings. Then we put the pizza back on the grill to let everything fully cook. After we topped our pizzas with anything else we wanted and dug in. We then shared our presentations on cooking a meal at home and that was that!

Grilling pizza is defiantly different than what I believe everyone is used to. I think that we all somewhat believe that pizza is cooked in a stone oven.  After today we were able to see a new way pizza could be made (it tastes awesome too). After today, knowing that pizza can also be made on a grill, I believe that there will be a lot more pizzas being made at home!
